Strategies for Improving Community Health course
Order No.: 2021

In this era of declining reimbursement, healthcare executives and their boards are in danger of losing sight of their responsibility to improve the health of their communities. Programs such as disease and disability prevention have been moved to the bottom of hospitals' priority lists under the increasing pressure to grow hospital revenue base. This course helps hospital executives focus on specific strategies that can benefit the health of their communities while retaining a healthy financial bottom line.

In this course the following questions are answered:

  • What features define the not-for-profit community hospital?
  • How can leaders establish a vision and mission that embraces the concept of caring for the community?
  • What financing methods might be employed to support reaching out to the community?
  • What kind of marketing efforts should hospitals undertake to connect to their community?
