About the author: Frankie Perry, RN, LFACHE, has held senior positions in both nursing and hospital administration. She has served as executive vice president of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), as a national and international healthcare consultant, and on the board of directors of the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). She previously authored The Tracks We Leave: Ethics in Healthcare Management and coauthored, with Paul Hofmann, Management Mistakes in Healthcare: Identification, Correction, and Prevention. In 2008, Perry was the recipient of a Regent’s Award, and in 2011, she received the Lifetime Service Award, both given by ACHE. She currently serves as adjunct faculty for the University of New Mexico and teaches an online seminar for ACHE titled “Management Mistakes, Moral Dilemmas, and Lessons Learned.”
