Gayle L. Capozzalo, FACHE, Elected Chairman-Elect of ACHE

CHICAGO, March 19, 2011—Gayle L. Capozzalo, FACHE, executive vice president, Strategy and System Development, Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health System, has been elected Chairman-Elect of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Capozzalo took office today at the Council of Regents Meeting during ACHE’s 54th Congress on Healthcare Leadership.

As Chairman-Elect, Capozzalo will serve the first part of a three-year term in ACHE’s consecutive chairmanship offices: Chairman-Elect, Chairman and Immediate Past Chairman.

Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Capozzalo previously served as an ACHE Governor from 2007 to 2010. In addition, she served as the ACHE Regent for Connecticut from 2004 to 2007 and chapter president of CT Association of Healthcare Executives, an ACHE Chapter, from 2006 to 2007.
