Distance Learning

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

12:00 p.m.–1:30 p.m. Eastern Time
11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Central Time
10:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Mountain Time
9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m. Pacific Time

This 90-minute seminar introduces the topic of healthcare productivity by outlining where the industry stands in its current approaches to labor management, changing the skill mix and benchmarking. Participants are shown how to chart a simple, effective method for developing superior productivity and how to apply it to their organizations.

In order to construct a successful productivity program, you will learn to develop standards, successful implementation of techniques, effective monitoring protocols and creating incentives and consequences. The course goes beyond the mechanics of productivity—definition, measurement and calculation—by addressing management structures to help ensure organizations stay on track. This course is both operational and strategic, presenting a step-by-step implementation guide as well as framing the program in terms of the organization’s culture and strategic objectives.

You Will Learn:

  1. How to apply management tools to effectively instill accountability, eliminate productivity losses and develop financial predictability and security within your organization
  2. The skills necessary to motivate managers to observe labor standards
  3. To coordinate policies, procedures, incentives and consequences for an effective productivity system to ensure financial success
