Development Grants

The deadline for the Healthcare Management Education Award was 7:00 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. The opportunity for submission has ended.

The identified topics for the 2011 Educational Development Award are:

• Best Approaches to Providing Value in Healthcare Through ACOs and Primary Medical Homes
• Reducing the Financial Impact of Hospital Readmissions and Medical Mistakes
• Driving Out Waste in All Areas of Healthcare Organizations
• Improving Financial Outcomes of Providing Medicare Services

The award will provide a development grant(s) up to $10,000. The award winner will use these funds to conduct research and develop a seminar. In addition, an honorarium of $4,300 per seminar and reimbursement of travel related expenses will be provided when the new seminar is offered at an ACHE Cluster. After the initial cluster offering, ACHE and the award recipient will negotiate the timing and frequency of subsequent offerings.
