Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Knowing Yourself To understand how you can develop as a leader, you need to understand yourself. Using the results from various assessments, you will pinpoint what characterizes your personality and how you prefer to work with others. You also will identify your tendencies in establishing and managing trust and your level of emotional intelligence. Armed with this information, you will explore how these characteristics enhance or limit your leadership effectiveness.
Leading Others Leadership doesn’t happen in a vacuum; it requires you to adjust to changing circumstances and relationships. During this session, you will explore how you influence others and how well you adapt your leadership style to different situations.
Group Dinner 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 9

Program—8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Meeting Job Challenges Effective leaders possess critical skills and perspectives that help them succeed in executive roles. These include the crucial leadership competencies of managing change and dealing with conflict. By using the results from a 360-degree assessment, you will explore how you measure up in such areas as teamwork, resourcefulness, flexibility and decisiveness. You will learn not only what you can do to succeed as a leader but also what stumbling blocks you should avoid to reduce your risk of career derailment.

8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Program
Breakfast will be provided.
Setting Goals Now that you have begun your journey toward more effective leadership, you will balance your knowledge about your strengths and development needs with an understanding of the constants that have shaped your self-concept: your motivators, values and perceived areas of competence. You will learn how setting goals can help you grow and succeed, and you will explore how you can prevail over adversity.
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Individual coaching sessions

Individual Coaching Sessions

Working one-on-one with the faculty, you will translate quantitative feedback from your assessments into meaningful, personalized strategies for improving your leadership skills. You also will establish a foundation for designing a development plan for professional and personal growth.

You can sign up on-site for a 30-minute individual coaching session.
