Upcoming Deadlines
Board of Governors Exam Changes—On August 1 the number of Board of Governor Exam questions will increase from 170 to approximately 230 questions. Two additional hours will be allotted to take the Exam. The change results from a job analysis study that was conducted with several thousand ACHE affiliates. A job analysis survey is conducted every five years to ensure that the exam is valid and reliable and that it reflects the current state of the field. Study findings indicated that additional questions were necessary to reflect the knowledge and skills affiliates need to perform their jobs in today’s complex environment. This increase also reinforces our commitment to maintaining the rigor of the Examination as well as the value of board certification. For information about becoming an FACHE, please go to the Credentialing area of ache.org.
