Where are Prometric testing centers located?
A computer-based version of the Board of Governors exam is offered at Prometric testing centers throughout the United States Guam, Puerto Rico as well as Internationally. To locate a testing center near you or register online to take the Board of Governors exam after receiving confirmation from ACHE, visit Prometric's Web site at www.prometric.com.
When can I schedule my exam with Prometric?
Prior to scheduling a testing appointment with Prometric, you must register for your exam with ACHE and receive an "authorization to test" letter. Please carefully review the information in this letter. If any of the information is incorrect or has changed, contact ACHE's Division of Member Services at (312) 424-9400.
Can I register online?
Yes. In order to register online at www.prometric.com, you must provide an email address. Prometric will send you an email confirming your testing appointment. If you do not have an email address, please call the Prometric Contact Center at (800) 688-5803.
What should I bring to the testing center?
Please bring two forms of ID bearing your name and signature; one ID must include a recent photo. You must present one of the following as a primary form of identification: a passport, a photo-bearing driver's license with signature, an employee ID card, an official state or government ID card, a military ID card, or a national country ID card. Your second form of identification could be a driver's license without a photo, a valid credit card with signature, or a bank ATM card. Unacceptable forms of identification include a Social Security card, a birth certificate, parking/traffic tickets, or documents that are not originals (such as faxes or photocopies).
What time should I arrive at the testing center?
Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in procedures. Candidates who arrive late will not be allowed to take the exam and will incur a penalty fee for lost computer time.
How much is my payment?
No payment is due to Prometric. (You will have already submitted the exam registration fee to ACHE.)
What is Prometric’s policy on cancelling or rescheduling my exam?
If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment, Prometric requires you to cancel 30 or more days before your scheduled test date to avoid a cancellation fee. If an exam is cancelled or rescheduled 5 to 29 days before the scheduled test date, there will be a $35 cancellation fee. In the event that you cancel or reschedule your exam less than 5 days prior to the test or fail to appear, your exam fee will be forfeited. To reschedule, cancel or confirm your appointment, go to www.prometric.com or contact Prometric at 1-800-688-5803, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. ET or Saturday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
