Paul B. Hofmann, DrPH, FACHE, is vice president of Provenance Health Partners in Moraga , California . Previously, he was the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Alta Bates Corporation, executive director of Emory University Hospital , and director of Stanford University Hospital and Clinics.

Frankie Perry, RN, FACHE(R), has held hospital positions in both nursing and hospital administration. Her administrative responsibilities included patient care programs, medical staff recruitment and relations, and graduate medical education and research. As such she was administratively responsible for the activities of the institutional review board and the hospital's ethics committee for which she developed the ethics protocols in the early 1980s. In 1988, the inaugural issue of The Journal of Clinical and Laboratory Investigation was dedicated to her in recognition of her efforts in building a foundation of academic excellence within Hurley Medical Center.
