Connie Evashwick, ScD, FACHE is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and an immediate past Regent for District 7. She holds a bachelor's and a master's degree from Stanford University and a master's and doctoral degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Evashwick is recognized nationally for her expertise in the continuum of care and long-term care delivery systems. Dr. Evashwick's multifaceted career has included positions in direct operations management, consulting, and academia. She has been vice president of long-term care for two major health care systems and consulted with health systems, hospitals, and long-term care organizations across the nation. Dr. Evashwick has authored over 90 publications, including ten books. Her most recent position has been as the Archstone Foundation Endowed Chair and professor of Health Care Administration.
James Riedel is a professor at California State University- Long Beach where he teaches on a part time basis. Mr. Riedel's career in hospital administration has spanned 34 years and he has been vice president for four major health care facilities in California and the Midwest. During this time, he has taught for 16 years in the Graduate School of Health Care Administration at California State University-Long Beach as adjunct faculty. He has recently retired from his hospital career.
