Elizabeth R. Ransom, MD, is a physician engagement consultant with Texas Health Resources (THR). THR is one of the largest faith-based nonprofit health organizations in the country, with 13 hospitals and 3,700 physicians in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Prior, she was the residency program director of Otolaryngology at the Henry Ford Hospital. She served on the graduate and undergraduate medical education committees and was a member of the admissions committee for Wayne State University School of Medicine. |
Maulik S. Joshi, DrPH, is president and chief executive officer of the Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement (NRHI). Before NRHI, Dr. Joshi was the president and chief executive officer of the Delmarva Foundation, a national, nonprofit healthcare improvement company. Delmarva's mission is to improve health in the communities that it serves in more than 15 states. During his tenure with the Delmarva Foundation, the organization was the recipient of the 2005 U.S. Senate Productivity award. This award, based on the national Malcolm Baldrige criteria for performance excellence, is the highest of its kind in the state of Maryland. |
David B. Nash, MD, is the Dr. Raymond C. and Doris N. Grandon Professor and chair of the department of health policy at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Nash, a board-certified internist, founded the original Office of Health Policy in 1990. From 1996 to 2003, he served as the first associate dean for health policy at Jefferson Medical College. In 2004 he was named co-director of the master’s program in public health at Jefferson and was named as a finalist in the 15th Annual Discover Awards for Innovation in Public Health by Discover magazine. |
Scott B. Ransom, DO, FACHE,is the president of the University of North Texas (UNT) Health Science Center at Fort Worth. As president, Dr. Ransom leads a growing academic health science center that includes four schools: the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the School of Public Health, and the School of Health Professions. He also leads the largest multi-specialty clinical practice in Tarrant County that includes over 240 clinicians. As vice chancellor for health affairs, Dr. Ransom leads all health-related programs for the 36,000-student, three-campus UNT system. Prior, he was the director of the program for healthcare improvement and leadership development and associate professor of obstetrics, gynecology, health management, and policy at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. |
