ACHE
STUDENT CHAPTERS AWARDED
CHICAGO,
February 18, 2002Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond;
University of Alabama at Birmingham; University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill; University of Kentucky, Lexington; U.S. Army-Baylor University,
Fort Sam Houston, Texas; and Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., are the
recipients of the American College of Healthcare Executives ninth annual
Student Chapter Awards.
The
student chapters will receive their awards on March 20, 2002, at the Wednesday
Keynote Address during ACHE's 45th Congress on Healthcare Management at
the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Chicago. ACHE established the awards to recognize
those active student chapters whose programs have demonstrated a commitment
to promoting advancement in ACHE.
The
winners are:
- Greatest
percentage of graduating students advancing in ACHE over a one-year
period
Graduate Program: Virginia Commonwealth University Student Chapter
Undergraduate Program: University of Kentucky Student Chapter
- Greatest
number of graduating students who advanced in ACHE over a one-year period
Graduate Program: University of Alabama at Birmingham Student Chapter
Undergraduate Program: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Student
Chapter
- 2001
graduating class with the greatest percentage of ACHE Members, Diplomates,
and Fellows
Cornell University Student Chapter
- 2001
graduating class with the greatest number of ACHE Members, Diplomates,
and Fellows
