David Maxfield
David Maxfield is vice president of research at VitalSmarts, an innovator in organizational performance and corporate training. He is also the coauthor of the New York Times best-seller, Influencer: The Power to Change Anything. His award-winning training programs of the same titles have been used successfully by more than 300 of the Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, products resulting from his work have taught more than 2 million people worldwide and have been translated into more than 20 languages.
At VitalSmarts, David is leading a series of consulting and research projects on the role crucial conversations play in medical errors, employee retention and patient satisfaction. David has consulted with more than 200 organizations on topics including leadership, conflict resolution and management without authority. He has taught at Stanford University and the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. David has received numerous awards including Motorola University’s Distinguished Teaching Award and Stanford University’s Dean’s Award for Innovative Industrial Education.

- United Airlines: ACHE has arranged reduced airfares with United Airlines. Call the Special Meeting Desk at (800) 521-4041 and refer to ACHE meeting ID 598YJ to receive a 2 to 10 percent discount off applicable fares. All ticketing and booking fees will be waived. If you purchase your ticket at least 30 days prior to travel, you will receive an additional 5 percent discount.
- ACHE reserves the right to substitute faculty and cancel or reschedule programs due to unforeseen events. For this reason, we advise against purchasing nonrefundable airline tickets.

Cancellation
To cancel or transfer to another seminar,
please notify us in writing no later than Monday, May 3, 2010, for full credit or refund, less a $100 nonrefundable processing fee per seminar. After May 3, all fees are forfeited; however, you may send a substitute if you cannot attend.

- To qualify for the 12 Category I (ACHE education) credits assigned to this seminar, you must attend the entire seminar.
- Your tuition includes all seminar materials and refreshments. If you have dietary restrictions and require a special meal, please call the Customer Service Center at (312) 424-9400 prior to attending your seminar.
- Dress for all seminar programs is business casual. Room temperatures may vary; we suggest you bring a sweater or jacket.
- ACHE programs are educational in nature. Self-promotion and selling are not permitted.
- If you have special needs that we can assist you with, please contact the Division of Education prior to the program.
