Dr. Robert W. Chappell is the vice president and chief medical officer for Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Ala. Board certified in family practice, Dr. Chappell served the community in private practice from 1987 to 1999. He has previously served in the positions of chairman of the Department of Family Practice and secretary/treasurer and president of Huntsville Hospital’s Medical Staff. He has been a member of Leadership Madison County and has held numerous other community, volunteer and academic leadership roles.
Charles D. Stokes, FACHE
COO, Memorial Hermann Healthcare System
Charles (Chuck) D. Stokes is the system chief operating officer of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston, Texas. Prior to this position, Mr. Stokes was President of North Mississippi Medical Center and was the 2006 recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. He has served as system chief operating officer for three different healthcare systems in Louisiana, Arkansas and Alabama. Mr. Stokes is Board certified in healthcare management and an ACHE Fellow. He currently serves as ACHE faculty and has developed and taught numerous leadership programs over the last seven years.
