As the healthcare environment shifts to a more collaborative model of care, physician leaders are called on to make critical resource-related decisions impacting quality and patient safety. It is vital to have a core understanding of healthcare finance to successfully optimize organizational resources. The 2014 Physician Executives Forum Program will cover basic and advanced topics in the financial management of hospital and physician-office practices to help you navigate the financial implications of reform.

Delve deeper into the fundamentals of financial management to boost your leadership performance and apply finance principles to make more informed decisions. You will also gain valuable advice from a panel of healthcare leaders who will share their experiences with deploying an analytics package to support evidence-based outcomes.

This interactive session will help you to:

  • Understand financial implications of the current healthcare environment
  • Interpret key financial reports and critical factors to gauge financial performance
  • Identify improvement opportunities within physician controllable revenue and expense elements
  • Estimate the profitability, viability and sustainability of clinical service lines using cost accounting and patient analytics reporting
  • Glean insights from colleagues on effectively utilizing analytics to boost your organization’s bottom line

This unique learning and networking opportunity—designed for both new and experienced physician executives—will help build your skill set and allow you to connect with your peers who share a commitment to professional development and healthcare delivery excellence.
