Adam Brown, MD, FACEP

Emergency Medicine President/COVID-19 Task Force Co-Chair/Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Co-Chair, Envision Healthcare

Adam Brown, MD, FACEP, is a board-certified emergency physician and the president of emergency medicine for Envision Healthcare. He also oversees Envision’s Clinical Communication Strategy and is co-chair of the organization’s COVID-19 response. Before accepting the role of a service line president, Brown had been with Envision since 2008. He was born and raised in Wilmington, N.C., and completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He also received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Currently, Brown serves as the co-chair of the board for UNC’s Center for the Business of Health and is on the Board of Advisors for the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, where he has chaired subcommittees on diversity and inclusion. He and his husband Steve live in Washington, D.C.
