Katie Korte, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP, Director, Pharmacy, Truman Medical Center Lakewood

Katie Korte is the director of pharmacy at Truman Medical Center Lakewood, Kansas City, Mo. Dr. Korte earned a PharmD degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and completed her residency and specialty training in critical care at Truman Medical Center. She achieved the designation of Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist.

Dr. Korte has served on the board of the Greater Kansas City Society of Health-System Pharmacists focusing on involving students, residents and pharmacists in local pharmacy initiatives and supporting professional development through educational offerings. Dr. Korte is also actively involved in research and clinical practice. She has recently published “Residency Program Directors’ View on the Value of Teaching” in the Journal of Pharmacy Practice and “Pharmacists’ Guide to the Management of Organ Donors after Brain Death” in the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacists. Dr. Korte recently earned a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Missouri. In 2019, Dr. Korte received the MSHP Pharmacist of the Year award and the ASHP New Preceptor award.
