Minority Internship
A program to complement graduate studies in healthcare or association management
The American College of Healthcare Executives Minority Internship
was established in 1991 to attract minority students into the

further their postgraduate education.
Internship Purpose
The ACHE Minority Internship has three primary purposes:

-
To involve the intern in the execution of diverse administrative
tasks in preparation for the future management of similar tasks.
-
To enhance the individuals decision-making and problem-solving
skills.
Internship Program
The three-month internship program will provide an opportunity
for the intern to rotate through all major ACHE divisions,
including Communications and Marketing, Education,
Executive Office, Finance and Administration, Health Administration Press, Management
Information Systems, Membership, Regional Services, and Research. The internship programs content will
be developed around the interns special interests as
well as in response to organizational needs. There will be

and conferences. ACHE President and Chief Executive Officer

will serve as co-preceptors for the internship program. In
