Charity Disclosure Statement
The ACHE website (the “Site”) and its contents are owned by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). By using the Site, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms of Usage (“Terms”). ACHE reserves the right to change these Terms at any time without further notice. The changes will be posted on this Terms page and the last revision date will be updated. Your continued use of the Site after such changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to regularly check the Site to determine whether there have been changes.
Username and Password
The user may be required to select a username and password when accessing certain portions of the Site. ACHE may refuse to grant a username/nickname that impersonates someone else, is protected by trademark or proprietary law, or is vulgar or otherwise offensive, as determined by ACHE’s sole discretion. The user is solely and fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his/her username and password, and is solely and fully responsible for all activities that occur under his/her username and password. The user agrees to: (a) immediately notify ACHE of any unauthorized use of a username and password or any other breach of security and (b) ensure that the user logs off at the end of each session. ACHE will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the user’s failure to comply with this.
License and Limitations
You are granted a personal, revocable, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site and ACHE content, conditioned on your continued acceptance of and compliance with this agreement.
Users may not do any of the following while using the Site:
- Interfere with another user’s use and enjoyment of the Site
- Upload any message, information, data, text, software, graphic files, or other materials (“Content”) that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, torturous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or libelous or that may be invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, sexually, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable
- Upload Content that contains a virus, corrupted file, or other harmful component
- Impersonate any person or entity, including but not limited to ACHE personnel, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent any affiliation with any person or entity, or upload any Content under a fictitious name
- Intentionally or unintentionally violate, encourage or assist another to violate any law or regulation in connection with your use or another’s use of the Site
- Upload any Content that violates or infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, privacy or any right, of whatever nature, of anyone
If you violate any of the above terms, your permission to use the Site automatically terminates.
User Content
ACHE is not responsible for and makes no warranties, express or implied, as to any information contained in user profiles (“User Content”), whether created by users of the Site or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Site. By providing information or content, you warrant and represent that you own the copyright with respect to such material or have received permission from the copyright owner. In addition, you grant ACHE and other users of the Site the nonexclusive right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print, and use such information or other material.

ACHE is providing information and services on the Internet as a benefit and service in furtherance of ACHE’s not-for-profit and tax-exempt status. ACHE and the Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives (“Foundation”) respect the privacy of our members, customers, and visitors to the Site. While offering users the advantages and convenience of Web-based technologies, we also strive to employ practices that ensure information collected about members, customers, and visitors is used conscientiously and appropriately.

Information Collected on ache.org
The information we collect generally includes: (1) personal information you supply and (2) tracking information collected as you navigate through the Site.
Generally, information is used to help us better serve our members and customers.
- General visitors: We collect information for internal marketing purposes about pages that visitors browse. This information does not contain email addresses.
- Customers: We collect personally identifiable information necessary for registration and billing from customers who purchase our products and services online.
- Members: We collect personally identifiable information about members who provide their information on Web pages that are specifically designed to collect membership information, such as online questionnaires, resume submissions, job postings, and applications for membership.
Information Collected Through Technology
Primarily to tailor the Site to your needs, ACHE collects information using technology, such as IP addresses and cookies. For example, your IP address provides ACHE with non-personally identifiable information about how you entered the Internet, namely through your Internet service provider, your company, or some other source, and can permit ACHE to identify the frequency with which you customers visit the Site. Standard features in Internet browser software, such as cookies, allow websites to track certain user activities by assigning each of our visitors a unique number that resides on your computer. ACHE uses cookies to make the Site more interesting and useful (for example, cookies let us know which of our pages you have been visiting and which you have not).
Information Is Not Collected Online From Children Under 13
ACHE does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information online from children under the age of 13.
How We Use Information Collected on ache.org
The information we collect is used to improve the content of our website, enhance the value of our products, and communicate with members and customers as follows:
- ACHE and the Foundation, its elected leaders, its chapters and its members components have access to membership information for purposes of communicating with members and furthering the mission of the organization.
- ACHE and the Foundation may make address information available to external organizations for purposes of providing members relevant information. Such information does not include email addresses.
- Any request by an external organization or members component of ACHE for a mailing list of members must be approved on a case-by-case basis, and the organization must agree that the information will only be used for the specifically approved communication and for one use only.
- ACHE and the Foundation may make educational session participant contact information available to corporate partners and individuals serving as faculty at educational programs.
- Members and others granted log-in access to password-protected areas of ache.org may access individual member information that members choose to include in the online Member Directory.
- Recruiters and other users may access member resumes and contact information that individuals have chosen to include in the online ACHE Job Center.
- ACHE and the Foundation may contact members and customers about events and opportunities.
Information Sharing With Third Parties
Limited personally identifiable information we request from you (namely, your name and home or office address) is occasionally sold to third parties, generally for educational programs.
We may also share your personal information with our authorized service providers that perform certain services on our behalf. These services may include providing customer service, performing business and sales analysis, supporting our Site functionality, and other features offered through the Site. These service providers may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions but are not authorized to share or use such information for any other purposes.
We may also provide your information to third parties to accomplish the purpose for which the information was submitted, such as providing your personally identifiable information to credit card processors to process a purchase.
We may also transfer user or customer information, including personally identifiable information, in connection with a corporate transaction, such as a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale.

Any member or customer who does not wish to be contacted by us or an organization with which we might otherwise share contact information may let us know by sending an email to contact@ache.org or by using the contact information below. Members and customers may request to opt out of specific email communications from ACHE and the Foundation or request an overall opt out of both mail and email communications (with the exception of basic membership and dues renewal mailings). Additionally, members may manage their personal information in the online Member Directory and choose what information will be accessible there.
Reviewing Your Information or Requesting a Change of Information
Members and customers may go to My ACHE to review the following types of information maintained about them:
- Financial and transactional information, such as purchase types, dates, and amounts
- Contact information, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses
- Credentialing and education information, such as FACHE® status

Requesting Information About the Security of ache.org
We have reasonable security measures in place at our physical facilities and on our remote servers to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information collected from members, customers, and visitors. Periodically we may use collected information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. When our information collection and dissemination practices change, we will post the policy changes on ache.org.
