Health Law Essentials
The uncertainty surrounding the future of the U.S. health delivery system and the continuous upheaval surrounding the Affordable Care Act have compounded the already-complex challenges today’s healthcare leaders face. To help address these challenges, leaders must be continually cognizant of legal and regulatory repercussions in areas as diverse as billing, patient rights, mandatory reporting and patient care.
Health law is a vast and complex field; this up-to-date online course will highlight the most crucial information for busy healthcare executives. Over six weeks, an experienced health law professor will facilitate learning by explaining legal issues within a broader context while encouraging interaction and discussion among participants through weekly postings and open forums. The course will review key law and compliance topics, including fraud and abuse, the HITECH Act, patient privacy, medical malpractice, the Affordable Care Act and more. You will leave with a better understanding of the health laws that are critical for effective healthcare administration today.
