Professionalism and Ethics

Ethics is an essential component of healthcare organizations. ACHE established its Code of Ethics as a way for healthcare leaders to create policies, administrative procedures and performance measures to ensure trust, confidence and respect in fulfilling commitments to their patients and members of the healthcare team. Patient rights and consent are important components of ethics. Healthcare leaders must also be aware of and evaluate professional decisions in the context of ethical guidelines.

Seminar Objectives:

  • Address common ethical issues surrounding patient rights in healthcare.
  • Realize individual healthcare executives’ role in supporting the profession’s ethical foundations.
  • Discuss common themes of ethical standards across all healthcare professions.

Who Should Attend:

CEOs, COOs, CMOs and other C-suite leaders, senior executives, department heads, clinical leaders and risk managers

Presented by:

Sarah F. Fontenot, JD, Adjunct Professor, Health Law, Trinity University
