Stefanie Simmons, MD

Stefanie Simmons is the national vice president of patient and clinician experience for Envision Physician Services in Ann Arbor, Mich. She leads organizational strategy for the clinician multispecialty group with more than 20,000 members covering 46 states. This group works to enhance relational excellence through patient communication, professional well-being and coaching culture.

Simmons serves as team leader for on-boarding clinicians through peer coaching, intensive coaching and wellness champion programs, including litigation support, a second victim support program and pain point identification. She created and led the physician intensive coaching program to enhance retention and performance of at-risk employees, with over 10 times the return on investment.

Previously, Simmons served as the medical director for patient and clinician experience for the Emergency Physician Medical Group, also in Ann Arbor. Additionally, she was the physician champion for patient experience at two hospitals: St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor in Ypsilanti, Mich., and St. Joseph Mercy Livingston in Howell, Mich.
