Brenda Dodson, PharmD, Clinical Integration Architect, Boston Children’s Hospital


Brenda Dodson is the clinical integration architect at Boston Children’s Hospital. In this role, she is responsible for leading the design and optimization of multidisciplinary processes in Cerner to meet pediatric patient care needs and enhance workflow for clinicians. In addition, Dr. Dodson drives the process for gathering information out of Cerner to further analyze processes and monitor for improvement opportunities. Dr. Dodson earned her PharmD degree from Northeastern University and completed a pediatric specialty residency at Boston Children’s Hospital. She worked as a clinical pharmacist in the multidisciplinary intensive care unit for 8 years before taking roles within Cerner Corporation as a pediatric strategist and a solution designer. After 2 years at Cerner, Dr. Dodson returned to Boston Children’s Hospital and pediatric pharmacy where she served as senior clinical pharmacy informaticist for 7 years prior to taking on her current role of clinical integration architect.
