Carolyn Rhee has more than 40 years of healthcare leadership experience with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and retired in 2019. Carolyn was a member of the Evaluation Committees for On-call Master Planning, Consolidated Correctional Treatment Facility and Mira Loma Women’s Detention Center from 2017 to 2019. Previously, she served as the CEO of Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, a 377-bed acute care hospital affiliated with the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine; project director at LAC+USC Medical Center (2003–2009); and the COO of Olive View-UCLA Medical Center (1992–2003). Previous roles include assistant hospital administrator at Olive View and budget analyst for the Department of Health Services, Los Angeles.
She received her master of public administration with a certificate in health services administration and her bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Southern California. Carolyn has served as the Chair of the Board of the American Cancer Society, California Division, and is an Honorary Life Member of the organization. She is a Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and served in multiple leadership capacities with Health Care Executives of Southern California.
