Joshua Snowden serves as the director of global contracting, Cleveland Clinic. He works between Market & Network Services, International Finance, Global Patient Services and International Operations. In this role, Joshua is responsible for payer contracts for Cleveland Clinic London and for international insurance companies; developing contracting structures for Cleveland Clinic’s international locations (London, Abu Dhabi, Canada and China); aligning networks across the enterprise; and developing international engagement opportunities through product development and direct-to-corporate arrangements. He previously worked as the manager of payer network, contracting and pricing for Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and as an administrative fellow with Cleveland Clinic.
Joshua has also served as co-chair of the ClinicPride Employee Resource Group since February 2019. ClinicPride is Cleveland Clinic’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Ally Employee Resource Group. ClinicPride strives to advance Cleveland Clinic values by providing an inclusive network to support the professional development of LGBTQA caregivers; increasing awareness of LGBTQ patient health and wellness needs; advocating for fully inclusive policies and procedures to enhance the patient and caregiver experience; supporting recruitment, retention and engagement of LGBTQA caregivers; and developing and maintaining partnerships with local community organizations.
Joshua is a team-oriented leader with international and U.S.-based experiences in managed care, hospital and ambulatory care operations, finance, regulatory compliance, and strategic development and implementation. He has written articles and presented at U.S. and Middle East conferences on payer-provider partnerships.
Joshua earned a bachelor of arts in political science from Missouri State University and a juris doctor and master of health administration from The Ohio State University.
In his free time, Joshua enjoys traveling, studying languages and cultures, playing volleyball, hiking and spending time with his husband, Sebastian.
