May Drewes serves as associate chief nurse executive, system nursing operations, Indiana University Health. She oversees nursing operations for 16 hospitals impacting more than 9,000 nurses. Key strategic partnerships include system and regional senior executive teams, and system leaders from IT, finance, pharmacy, regulatory, risk, quality and safety, human resources, talent acquisition, legal and supply chain. Prior to this role, Drewes served in various senior leadership roles including CNO; executive director, nursing operations; and cardiovascular/neuro service line executive.
Drewes’ experiences have helped her develop an advanced operational and business acumen. She consistently delivers results in progressively challenging roles and rapidly changing environments. She has effectively managed cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to diverse and complex business challenges.
