Noreen Hudson is an associate director in BRG’s Healthcare Performance Improvement practice. Hudson has extensive experience in facilitating multidisciplinary partnerships and incorporating best practices/innovative strategies into programs developed to improve performance and operational efficiencies. She has proven success in building surgical programs that use lean processes to address operational efficiencies while breaking down silos and building cross-functional relationships.
Prior to joining BRG, Hudson began her career as an OR nurse, quickly advancing to manager and eventually becoming director. Hudson was accountable for the strategic direction and administrative oversight of perioperative service programs, including the OR, post-anesthesia recovery unit, outpatient surgical services, preadmission testing, sterile processing department, endoscopy, noninvasive cardiology, cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology. She has first-hand knowledge of incorporating regulatory standards to ensure a culture dedicated to patient safety. After being recruited to assist in resolving deficiencies identified during surveys from the Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and California Department of Public Health, Hudson implemented action plans to address issues. Her plans led to the successful accreditation and validation surveys for the organization, which subsequently received recognition by the Joint Commission for best practices in two measures.
