Ije Udeze Nwosu is vice president, market operations, performance & impact, at Kaiser Permanente. In this role, she leads the multiyear strategy development, focusing on service delivery optimization, customer experience, performance and talent management strategies as well as overall integration and communications across the shared services within KP’s markets. She is responsible for developing innovative approaches to advance environment, social and governance engagement, strategy, reporting and impact across the enterprise business services. Nwosu also leads KP POWER, the initiative she spearheaded to amplify gender-focused activities that attract, retain and equitably advance women. Previously, she served as the chief of staff to the chairman and CEO and has held several leadership roles within Kaiser Permanente. Before joining the organization, she was with the University of California system in the Office of Transportation and Emergency Preparedness.

Nwosu serves on the boards of Girls Inc. of Alameda County, MAKERS@ and the Center for Environmental Heath. She was named a “Top 40 Under 40” executive by the San Francisco Business Times, is a recipient of the Corris Boyd Leadership Award, and was recognized by Modern Healthcare with both the “Up and Comer” award and as one of the “Top 10 Minority Executives in Healthcare to Watch.” She co-founded Utuh USA, Inc., an educational and humanitarian organization promoting economic revitalization in Eastern Nigeria, and The Pink Couch, a movement focused on changing the world one uncomfortable conversation at a time.

Nwosu earned a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed executive leadership residencies at Harvard Business School and the International Federation of Health Plans. She is also a Carol Emmott Fellow.
