Asad Jan leads strategic sustainability initiatives across JLL's client portfolio, with expertise in developing decarbonization strategies and energy management programs. His responsibilities include driving client sustainability outcomes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, developing Scope 1–3 emission reduction strategies and leading cross-functional teams to achieve sustainability goals.

Jan joined JLL in July of 2022 and has over a decade of experience in energy management and sustainability leadership. Prior to his current role, he developed energy conservation roadmaps and decarbonization strategies aligned with ISO 50001 and corporate Environmental, Social and Governance goals for clients in life sciences and technology verticals. He oversaw national healthcare profit and loss and capital planning for utility and sustainability projects exceeding $100 million in annual managed budgets. Before joining JLL, Jan worked as a senior energy engineer at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, where he led engineering audits and integrated building control systems with client monitoring platforms. He also served as business development manager, achieving 60% year-over-year growth. Previously, he developed energy conservation projects at Johnson Controls worth up to $24 million for public sector clients and achieved annual energy and water cost avoidance of over $3.8 million for a hospital in less than three years. His extensive experience includes implementing fault detection diagnostic platforms and ensuring BACnet/MODBUS protocol compliance in smart building initiatives across North America.

Jan has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from McMaster University with specialization in net zero energy buildings. Additionally, he is a professional engineer, a Certified Energy Manager and holds certifications as Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) and Certified RETScreen Expert (CRE).
