Biography

Beth E. Walker, FACHE, is CEO of Ochsner Baptist, a campus of Ochsner Medical Center. Previously, she served as COO responsible for the ambulatory clinics and physician group practice at Ochsner Medical Center. Originally from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Beth relocated to New Orleans in 2002 to participate in Ochsner's administrative fellowship program. She has since spent her career at Ochsner, touching almost all clinical departments at various levels of responsibility within operations.
 
Beth holds a bachelor of science from Ohio University and a master of health administration from The Ohio State University. In 2013, Beth was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of 12 “Up and Comers,” and by Becker's Hospital Review in 2015 as a “Rising Star: 25 Healthcare Leaders Under 40.” Becker's has also recognized her for four years as one of the “Women Hospitals and Healthcare Systems Need to Know.” She is a graduate of GE's Health Management Academy Fellowship and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is also proud to serve as a certified Dare to Lead™ facilitator.
 
Beth serves on the board of directors for the World Trade Center of New Orleans, Discovery Health Sciences Foundation and the Jefferson Parish Chamber of Commerce, where she recently completed her service as chairperson. She is also a long-term member of the Junior League of New Orleans.
