Biography

Christine McSweeney is the chief executive officer of both CommonSpirit Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley, a 172-bed, stroke plus, thrombectomy center in West Jordan, UT, and CommonSpirit Holy Cross Hospital, Jordan Valley West, a 102-bed community hospital in West Valley City, UT since July of 2023. As CEO, McSweeney prioritizes leading her people with compassion and is committed to excellence and growth within her hospitals and market. A passionate, dedicated leader, McSweeney has over 25 years of healthcare experience.

Her career in healthcare began as a clinical dietitian. After spending two decades in various leadership positions at Banner Health, she joined CommonSpirit Health’s Mountain Region, formerly Centura Health, as group vice president of Operations & Shared Services for nine hospitals in Colorado and Kansas. Prior to her current role as CEO in the Mountain region’s greater Salt Lake market, she served at CommonSpirit St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO, a full-service, acute care hospital designated as a level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, as chief operating officer and interim chief executive officer.

McSweeney graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics. She received her Master of Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and has been a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives since 2010.
