Nathan Shinagawa is a COO with 12 years of experience in hospital leadership and nearly 10 years in public service. He currently serves as the COO of Banner Ocotillo Medical Center in Chandler, Ariz., a newly opened community hospital that is pioneering innovations in patient safety, customer experience and healthcare technology.

 

Shinagawa previously served as the COO of Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, a 404-bed community hospital in Sun City West, Ariz. Prior to joining Banner, he was a vice president with The Guthrie Clinic, a multispecialty group practice and hospital system.

 

Elected at the age of 22, Shinagawa served as a county legislator representing Ithaca, N.Y. In 2012, he was a major party nominee for United States Congress.
