Biography

Priscilla A. Ross is senior associate director, federal relations, at the American Hospital Association, where she represents the interests of member hospitals, health systems and clinician partners before the U.S. Congress. In this role, she ensures that AHA members' perspectives are addressed in national health policy development and legislative debates. Before joining AHA, Ross served as legislative director to U.S. Senator Benjamin L. Cardin from 2007 to 2014. She was responsible for policy development, legislative initiatives, healthcare, Social Security, human resources and the Senator’s work on various committees. She also served as his office’s liaison to Senate leadership. Prior to her service on Capitol Hill, Ross was assistant vice president for legislation at the Federation of American Hospitals. She has gained experience in healthcare payment and delivery at Harvard Community Health Plan, CareFirst BlueCross/Blue Shield and the Psychiatric Institute of Washington.
