Richard J. Henley serves as president/CEO of Healthcare Strategic Solutions LLC, an advisory firm focused on optimizing enterprise value for health systems, private equity firms, portfolio companies and other business entities through strategy, leadership and business development. He is a seasoned and accomplished executive who has held senior leadership positions in a broad range of healthcare settings, including an academic medical center, a multi-hospital system and community hospitals. Mr. Henley brings over 25 years of senior executive experience as a CEO, COO, chief administrative officer and CFO. He has significant expertise in strategic planning, financial management, leadership development, mergers and acquisitions, governance, performance improvement, physician alignment, executive coaching, and business development. Mr. Henley simultaneously earned Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees, summa cum laude, from The City College of The City University of New York, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and served as chairman of its board of directors. He is a former Governor of the ACHE Board of Governors. Mr. Henley has received several awards from HFMA, including the Founders Medal of Honor and National Life Membership. He has earned the Distinguished and Exemplary Service awards from ACHE. Mr. Henley has held faculty appointments at several graduate programs in healthcare management, including at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He has also served as chairman and as a director for numerous private equity portfolio companies, civic organizations and professional associations. Mr. Henley is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
