Biography
Tara Brant has worked in the healthcare industry for the past 20 years, serving in hospital administrative roles for Graduate Medical Education at Columbia University Medical Center for a decade. She was instrumental in establishing a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship program for the hospital during her tenure.
Ms. Brant’s current position is director, Medical Therapeutics Group, at Paradigm Medical Communications, an ACCME-accredited provider for continuing medical education (CME). In this role, she designs and implements medical education in a variety of therapeutic areas. Ms. Brant also collaborates with associations and hospitals to design and implement quality improvement programs. Ms. Brant’s team won the 2019 Innovative Format Award from the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions for “New Insights on the Role of Janus Kinase (JAK) Inhibition in Rheumatoid Arthritis” and “Do You Know JAK?” The poster summarizing the activity can be accessed at www.paradigmmc.com/pdfs/a581poster.pdf. Ms. Brant is also a member of ACEHP and has served in volunteer roles for the organization. She has published in the ACEHP Almanac.
Ms. Brant received her bachelor of arts from the College of New Rochelle, where she was a dual major in political science and communications. She received her master of public health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health with a concentration in health policy and management. She was part of the inaugural class to partake in the Health System Simulation program and was hooked. She has been part of the simulation team for the past 10 years, serving as a faculty coach and now serving as the lead on the model, providing detailed interpretations of the model and the ever-changing landscape of the hospital simulation world.
