Anil B. Gopinath is a physician executive with 20 years of clinical and physician leadership experience. He currently serves as CMO of Amita Health, Fox River Valley region, overseeing Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Ill., and Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Ill. He also works intermittently as a physician surveyor with The Joint Commission’s Hospital Accreditation program. Previously, Dr. Gopinath served as Danville (Ill.) VA Medical Center site director of the Internal Medicine Residency program/clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Gopinath holds a Yellow Belt in Robust Process Improvement. He is board certified in internal medicine and holds a master’s degree in medical management from Carnegie Mellon University. He is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.
