Biography
Casey Orton serves as director of Pharmacy Regulatory & Infusion Operations at HonorHealth, a nonprofit health system in the Phoenix metropolitan area. In her current role, Orton has pharmacy regulatory compliance responsibilities for a 239-bed level 1 trauma center, operational responsibilities for the medication use process in twelve oncology and two non-oncology HOPD infusion clinics, while also leading investigational drug services for the HonorHealth Research Institute. Throughout her career journey, Orton has initiated and led regional clinical programs, facilitated comprehensive staff development and training initiatives and spearheaded impactful Just Culture and patient safety pilots within complex, matrixed organizations. Orton is recognized for driving operational change, enhancing quality and ensuring regulatory adherence.
Orton’s commitment to excellence extends beyond her primary role, as she is also the founder and president of Casey Cathleen, LLC, which allows her to pursue her passion of developing leaders through coaching and speaking. Described as forward thinking with a foundation in best practice, Orton’s leadership coaching perspective seeks to empower individuals to move forward strategically on a journey of continuous growth. Additionally, Orton is dedicated to advocating for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, which is reflected in her many speaking engagement topics that include microaggressions, implicit bias, stereotypes, culture and underrepresented groups in healthcare leadership.
