Biography

Heather J. Rohan, FACHE, is division president, TriStar Health, Brentwood, Tenn.

She also serves as Immediate Past Chairman of the American College of Healthcare Executives, an international professional society of more than 48,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. With comprehensive programs in credentialing, education, career counseling, publications and research, ACHE works toward its goal of being the preeminent professional society for leaders dedicated to improving health.

Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Ms. Rohan served as the ACHE Regent for Florida—Eastern from 2011 to 2012. She has also served on numerous ACHE committees.

Ms. Rohan has served as division president, TriStar Health, since December 2016. Prior to that she was CEO of TriStar Centennial Medical Center, Nashville, Tenn., from 2012 to 2016. Previously, she served as CEO of Aventura (Fla.) Hospital and Medical Center from 2005 to 2012; as CEO of Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee, Fla., 2000 to 2005; as COO of Aventura (Fla.) Medical Center, 1998 to 2000; as CEO of Pompano Beach (Fla.) Medical Center, 1995 to 1997; and as CNO of Cedars Medical Center in Miami.

In addition to her service to ACHE, Ms. Rohan serves on the boards of the Tennessee Hospital Association and Barry University, as well as the United Way of Board of Middle Tennessee and the HCA Foundation Board. She also has served as a mentor for the HCA Executive Development Program.

Ms. Rohan received a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Barry University.
