Biography
Jenna Agins currently serves as assistant director of energy and sustainability, NYU Langone Health, where she manages the organization’s environmental sustainability program. She sets the program’s strategic direction and leads projects to reduce the health system’s environmental footprint across a growing building portfolio of more than 13 million square feet to reach its carbon neutrality goal by 2050. Agins also works to build a culture of sustainability among the more than 44,000 employees through robust engagement and communications. She pushes NYU Langone to pursue sustainable food services, energy management, resiliency best practices, healthy interior choices and waste reduction, among other efforts. She also coordinates NYU Langone’s participation in various local and national energy and environmental programs and uses the institution's trusted voice to support the national movement toward sustainable healthcare and a low carbon future. NYU Langone’s robust program has earned more than 64 energy and environmental excellence awards for its sustainability achievements and, in 2020, the institution proudly joined the national U.S. Health Care Climate Council.
Agins is a graduate of the dual degree MBA and Master in Science from the Erb Institute for Sustainable Enterprise program at the University of Michigan. She also received her Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis.
