Biography

Michelle Johnson Tidjani, is the senior executive vice president and chief administrative officer at CommonSpirit Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems. As the chief administrative officer, Tidjani provides strategic oversight of the health ministry’s national budget, ensuring financial alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. She collaborates closely with the chief operating officer on the implementation of various initiatives, including the implementation of the organization’s optimized operating model. Tidjani provides executive oversight for a number of enterprise functions including corporate governance, CommonSpirit’s partnership with the Morehouse School of Medicine, enterprise consulting, the Lloyd H. Dean Institute of Humankindness, security and emergency management and national meetings and events. In addition, she partners with CommonSpirit’s CEO to provide strategic and operational oversight of the office of the CEO.

Previously, Tidjani served as the executive vice president and general counsel of Henry Ford Health System, the deputy chief legal officer for the Cleveland Clinic and senior counsel for Tenet Healthcare's Managed Care and Litigation Practice Group.

She has received awards for her leadership including Crain’s Detroit “Best Women Lawyers in Michigan,” Michigan Chronicle “Woman of Excellence,” Wolverine Bar Association Golden Gavel award, Norman S. Minor Trailblazer Award and Kaleidoscope 40 Under 40 award.

She earned her juris doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, an EMBA from Brown University in partnership with IE Business School Madrid and a bachelor's degree with honors from Cornell University.
