Fill Content Gaps in Development Programs

The Challenge

A West Coast-based Pediatric Health System partner had an educational programming problem for physicians entering leadership roles. Their existing physician leadership academy had content gaps around critical skills such as physician-executive relations, professionalism and ethics, and burnout and resiliency.

The ACHE Customized Learning Solution

This health system partnered with ACHE in 2022 to identify key faculty and topics that addressed their knowledge gaps, such as Advanced Strategic Planning, Professional Burnout in Healthcare, and Key Financial Principles for the Nonfinancial Healthcare Executive. Each tailored program was delivered virtually—the attendees’ preferred format. The organization also subsidized ACHE membership for all participants, allowing leaders to build important peer relationships outside the organization to enhance their learning.

The Challenge

An ACHE partner since 2019, this small, non-profit health system was looking to create a leadership development academy for its emerging leaders that provided ongoing training in key skill areas.

The organization initially partnered with ACHE to deliver short, virtual sessions that provided general leadership development content. The scope was then expanded to include in-person sessions as part of a newly launched leadership development academy.
