In the evolving field of healthcare, change is inevitable. Successful transformation hinges on more than process redesign or strategic planning, it depends on the people delivering care. Clinician engagement is an often overlooked yet critical factor in operational success. When providers are not meaningfully involved, even the most well-designed initiatives, regardless of new documentation workflows, care models, or throughput strategies, struggle to gain traction.

This session explores the human side of change and how healthcare organizations can build trust, reduce resistance and create lasting impact by engaging physicians, advanced practice providers and nursing teams from the start. Drawing from real-world examples, attendees will learn how to co-create solutions, foster shared ownership and lead change with clinical teams.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify common barriers to clinician engagement during operational change and implement strategies to foster trust and collaboration.
  • Apply best practices for involving physicians and advanced practice providers in the design and rollout of staffing models, onboarding processes and workflow improvements.
  • Leverage communication, peer leadership and feedback loops to sustain momentum and clinician buy-in throughout the change lifecycle.
