New Book: Employed Physician Networks

Employed Physician Networks: A Guide to Building Strategic Advantage, Value, and Financial Sustainability is currently available to order. This title highlights the key elements contributing to a successful evolution to high performance, offering a clear framework for a network’s growth—from the novice phase through the high-performing phase. With this book, healthcare leaders will be able to pinpoint their network’s current phase and then apply practical advice and recommendations for priorities that will likely need to be addressed for the organization and network to progress through the more advanced phases.

Authors David W. Miller, FACHE, Terrence R. McWilliams, MD, FAAFP, MSJ, and Travis C. Ansel round out the book with case studies, best practices, checklists and other features to help leaders put their plans into action. Take a closer look at Employed Physician Networks by reviewing its table of contents and a sample chapter.

Video: Watch “Being Innovative in a Time of Rapid Change”

Congress keynote speaker Josh Linkner encourages us to view innovation as one of our most valuable resources to drive patient outcomes. Author and chair and co-founder of Platypus Labs, Linkner, in his talk, “Being Innovative in a Time of Rapid Change,” said healthcare executives should look at their everyday activities through the lens of innovation, applying the principles of innovation to how patients are cared for every day. This, he said, will help foster an environment that drive the greatest “imprint” that organizations can create. “Those little innovations may not make the cover of a magazine. But talking about driving imprint, I believe everyday innovations can do just that.”

Congress Save the Date: Remember to mark your calendars for Congress on Healthcare Leadership, March 23–26, 2020, Hyatt Regency Chicago.
