Webinar: Designing Safer Healthcare

The National Action Alliance for Patient and Workforce Safety is hosting a summer webinar series in support of its vision to ensure safe patient care everywhere and to prevent patient harm.

The NAA, a collective effort of federal agencies and private partners, recognizes that healthcare is not safe until it is safe for all. The group works toward its goal by applying known harm-reduction strategies and sharing best practices and lessons learned to meet the wide-ranging needs of patients across all populations.

In alignment with the National Action Plan to Advance Patient Safety, the NAA seeks a total systems approach to improving safety, focused on the action plan’s four foundational elements of safety: culture, leadership, and governance; patient and family engagement; workforce safety; and learning health system development.

The upcoming webinar series includes “Strengthening Safety Competencies,” Aug. 20, and “Advancing Patient Safety Through Diagnostic Excellence,” Sept. 17. To learn more about the programs or to visit the archive of previously aired webinars, click here.
