Program Spotlight:

Tuition Assistance Is Available

Don’t let cost or an economic hardship be a barrier to your professional development. Apply for assistance through ACHE’s Tuition Waiver Assistance Program.

Currently, waivers are available for the following programs:

  • San Antonio Cluster (April 15–18)
Network with peers and attend seminars of your choice focusing on relevant topics for today’s healthcare environment, including leadership, project management, value-based care and negotiation.
  • Fellows Seminar 2019 (May 20–21)
Fine-tune your perspective and learn highly effective methods for measuring quality performance in two essential areas: patient experience and medical group practices.

Tuition waiver applications open 16 weeks before the start of a program. The deadline to submit an application is eight weeks prior to the start of the program. Tuition waivers for programs later in 2019 will be available soon.

The waivers are based on financial need; Members and Fellows in career transition are encouraged to apply. For information on this member benefit, visit ache.org/TuitionWaiver or contact ACHE's Customer Service Center at (312) 424-9400.

New Seminar: “Thriving During Times of Uncertainty”

One of the newest offerings from ACHE, to be held April 15-18 in San Antonio, will cover adjusting reimbursement strategies and the need to accept more risk. 12 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits are available for this seminar.

Part of the new ACHE San Antonio Cluster 2019 eight-seminar lineup, “Thriving During Times of Uncertainty” tackles the many demanding issues healthcare leaders face and provides attendees with the problem-solving approaches needed for success in uncertain times. The course presenters will guide learners in:

  • Developing new skills for analyzing current business model challenges
  • Crafting plausible future alternatives
  • Analyzing the potential impact of trends and leading practices related to solving today's industry challenges
  • Gaining experience using a problem-solving toolkit applicable to challenges beyond the course

Be among the first to register for this course, or for the entire cluster, offered April 15–18. In addition to ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits, continuing education credit is also available.

A Convenient Way to Recertify Your FACHE® Credential

As a Fellow of ACHE, you have worked hard to earn your FACHE® credential, and we want to ensure that you retain it. The Congress on Healthcare Leadership offers an excellent opportunity to do so. If you are a Fellow due to recertify this year (Dec. 31, 2019 deadline) and are attending  Congress, you can complete the recertification application onsite at the ACHE Member Services booth.

With booth hours beginning at 7 a.m. each day of Congress, you will have plenty of time to drop in and recertify. While there, be sure to take some time to remind yourself of the other programs and services ACHE offers.

Keep in mind that to recertify, Fellows must have completed 36 hours of continuing education (including 12 hours of ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits), and must have participated in two healthcare and two community/civic service activities. Log onto my.ache.org to check your recertification status and the continuing education credit hours you have earned so far.

Healthcare Innovations on Display at 2019 Congress

Learn about exciting healthcare innovations at the Annual Management Innovations Poster Session and the Technology Innovations Presentations at this year's Congress.

Now in its 35th year, the annual poster presentation allows other organizations to share their innovations and solutions regarding issues affecting their work that might be helpful to yours. These may include improvements in quality or efficiency, solutions for patient or physician satisfaction concerns, or advancements in other areas. Check the ACHE 365 app or the Congress On-Site Guide for the exact location of the poster displays.

Also at Congress, you'll be able to gain valuable insight specific to technological and digital solutions, and see how healthcare leaders are finding the best ways to implement them at the Technology Innovations Presentations. This will be held in the Connections Center in the lower level of the Hilton Chicago. Again, check the app or the on-site guide for a complete schedule.

Both presentations will allow you and your organization to benefit from the efforts of your peers across the country.
