2019 Competency Assessment Tool Online

The ACHE Healthcare Executive 2019 Competencies Assessment Tool is now available online. New this year is guidance on how to use the tool to assess expertise in critical healthcare management areas. Specifically, it can be used in a variety of ways to identify areas of strength and areas that may need professional or skill development, as well as a development plan.

There are several examples provided online describing how the tool can be used, including as an organizational or self-assessment, or for team or group development. Corresponding resources for each competency receive annual updates.

The competencies are derived from job analysis surveys of healthcare leaders across various management and administration disciplines. They are aligned with the challenges and opportunities experienced by leaders today. The tool is reviewed and updated annually.
