Healthcare Executive Features Q&A With Two Payers
Payers are a crucial component in helping shape the healthcare landscape on issues of cost, access to care and competition. Though Healthcare Executive is dedicated to providing content geared toward healthcare professionals in the provider space, they and payers are working closer than ever before.
Two leading payers, Deborah L. Rice-Johnson, CEO, Diversified Businesses and chief growth officer, Highmark Inc., and Sean Robbins, executive vice president and chief corporate affairs officer, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, share their insights on several key areas valuable to ACHE members such as what is necessary to control costs.
NALHE Still Accepting Applications for La Mesa Emerging Leaders Program
Applications are still being accepted for La Mesa Emerging Leaders Program, sponsored by the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives. Don’t delay as the application deadline is January 26.
To apply, you must be an NALHE member, undergrad senior or graduate student and/or an early careerist with at least two years of healthcare experience.
Founded in 2020, La Mesa Emerging Leaders Program is a six-month program aimed at fostering growth, learning and success among Latino, Latina and multicultural professionals in healthcare.
La Mesa is a dynamic platform designed to empower participants with unparalleled access to distinguished healthcare executives, captivating book club discussions and enriching outreach opportunities.
NALHE is a national organization led by Latino/Latina executive leaders of U.S. hospitals and healthcare organizations and experts in the fields of healthcare policy and practice. Founded in 2005, NALHE aims to create a workforce of highly talented Latino/Latina healthcare executives who can meet the challenges of delivering and improving healthcare in diverse communities.
IHF Requests Speaker Nominations for 47th Annual World Hospital Congress
The International Hospital Federation is seeking nominations for speakers to present at its 47th IHF World Hospital Congress taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sept. 10–12.
Building on its success from the Lisbon Congress, IHF is again asking full and premier associate members to nominate up to three speakers on topics related to one of five tracks: contemporary leadership; workforce; clinical models enhancing quality; innovation in care and hospital operations; or sustainability.
To submit your nominations, complete the online form by Jan. 31. Selected speakers will be invited be to present and will receive complimentary registration to the event. Travel and accommodations will be the responsibility of the selected presenters.
Additionally, IHF has put out a call for Abstracts to both members and non-members. Anyone interested in presenting their work, innovations and examples of leadership at WHC, either through an oral presentation or poster, are encouraged to submit abstracts to the Scientific Committee.
