Since its inception in 1994, more than 1,500 students have successfully completed the program. Healthcare organizations that register to become a host site gain access to the healthcare leaders of tomorrow—many former SEP participants now hold senior management and board positions at organizations across the country.

Healthcare Executive: The Finance Issue

The cover story of the May/June 2019 issue of Healthcare Executive delves into the important topic of finance. It examines why achieving revenue and expense breakeven with Medicare should be an important goal for healthcare organizations undergoing cost transformation.

In the second feature of this issue, the recipients of the 2019 Gold Medal Award and Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year share their leadership journeys, while the “2019 Congress Wrap-up” offers additional highlights from ACHE’s signature event for education and networking.

Also in this issue, our expert columnists address timely topics such as providing treatment to incapacitated, unrepresented patients; public policies that support social determinants of health; and how to learn and grow from our mistakes. Be sure to check out our May/June issue to learn about these current trends in healthcare management, and more.
