Program Spotlight:
Identify the Risks and Benefits of Direct Contracting With Employers
Explore a care delivery model that allows employers and healthcare providers to share financial risk while earning 3 ACHE Face-to-Face Education credits during the Orlando Cluster, Dec. 9–12.
When you attend “Direct Contracting With Employer Groups: What Health Systems Should Know,” a three-hour session, expert faculty Richard J. Priore, ScD, FACHE, will explain what’s behind the value-based care movement and the current and anticipated impact on healthcare provider organizations. At a time when providers are under continuous and increasing pressure to demonstrate high-quality outcomes at the lowest cost, Dr. Priore will help you identify the practical, legal and financial considerations you should be aware of when evaluating direct contracting opportunities with employers. Additionally, you’ll learn about Walmart’s Centers of Excellence Program, which partners with several large health systems.

Leadership Development Program Provides Coaching and Camaraderie
Last month, a diverse group of 27 healthcare leaders from around the country gathered in Chicago to refine their leadership styles. During the Leadership Development Program, led by expert faculty Michael A. Broscio and Cynthia Kivland, program participants raised their self-awareness through discussion around five key assessments used to determine how their behavioral patterns as leaders affect others.
Attendees identified barriers that prevent them from taking their careers to the next level, and they received valuable and enlightening feedback about their personal leadership styles through one-on-one virtual coaching sessions after the event. Additionally, program attendees enjoyed a retreat-like atmosphere and developed a great sense of camaraderie with their fellow participants.
Information about next year’s Leadership Development Program, Oct. 12–14, 2020, will be available soon.
