Leadership Spotlight: Webinar: Countering Racial Bias During the Pandemic
Today’s heightened focus on racial injustice offers an opportunity to examine racial bias toward Asian American healthcare leaders in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
This Thursday, join a panel of experts during a one-hour webinar to explore how Asian American healthcare leaders and their allies can counter racial bias and systemic discrimination in the workplace and healthcare community. During “A COVID-19 Conversation: Countering Racial Bias as an Asian American Healthcare Leader—or Ally,” attendees will also learn to recognize how racial bias and injustices may manifest for Asian American healthcare administrators and leaders, identify practical self-care tips, and understand how allies can best support Asian Americans who experience racist attacks.
Worth 1 ACHE Qualified Education credit, this webinar is brought to you by the Asian Healthcare Leaders Forum, which welcomes individuals interested in the distinct opportunities and issues of Asian American healthcare executives. Register today.
ACHE Research Reveals Slight Decrease in Hospital CEO Turnover
Hospital CEO positions turned over at a rate of 17% in 2019, according to a recent report released by the American College of Healthcare Executives. This rate indicates a small decrease from turnover rates during the last five years, which have held steady at 18%. The past eight years is the longest period during which hospital CEO turnover rates were 17% or higher since ACHE began conducting the study in the early 1980s.
